Ystad is the small town with big opportunities. Here you will find unique nature experiences, a vibrant history, a dynamic cultural life, and a variety of recreational activities. We also have a rich business community that operates both locally and globally.
In Ystad Municipality, we are about 2900 engaged employees who contribute and make a difference. Together, we create a better everyday life for our residents, businesses, organizations, and visitors, now and in the future.
Leadership is important to us, which is why all managers are trained in developmental leadership. We offer you a secure employment where you make a meaningful contribution to society. Here you will also find many career opportunities in an organization that is constantly evolving.
We stand firmly on our values, which are - Better Together, characterized by courage, trust, participation, and professionalism.
Within the social care administration, about 1200 engaged employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.
Special housing means that users live in a shared house, with their own apartments. In the house, there are, in addition to the users' apartments, common areas such as kitchens, TV rooms, and social spaces. Here they receive help with daily activities and care around the clock. Often, the house is divided into different departments, and staff often work in pairs.
Home care means that support and assistance are provided to users in their own homes. This can include support with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, meals, and medication. Home care staff visit users in their homes, and the users live alone. In home care, staff move between users' homes by car or bicycle, working freely and often alone.
