The endocrinology department is part of the clinical area (VO) of endocrinology, nephrology, and rheumatology. We are responsible for the southern healthcare region and provide highly specialized university and regional healthcare. We also run diabetes, foot, and endocrinology clinics in both Malmö and Lund, as well as an obesity clinic in Malmö.

Endocrinological inpatient care is provided at our Endocrine Department. Here, patients with various hormonal diseases are cared for and investigated. The most common diagnoses are type 1 diabetes, complicated type 2 diabetes, and endocrine diseases, with thyroid and pituitary diseases dominating.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a nurse with us, you will work with common nursing tasks. We have a multidisciplinary collaboration between nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and doctors. Important support functions in the department include medical secretaries, dietitians, foot care therapists, and diabetes nurses. Together, we work for good care where the patient's well-being is always in focus.

We are a specialized unit and offer you a tailored introduction based on your previous knowledge and current needs. Furthermore, you will also be offered good development opportunities in the form of training in specialized endocrine care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have clinical experience and language skills in Swedish that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. It is an advantage for the position if you have further training in diabetes care.
