The Adult Psychiatry Area (VO) Malmö-Trelleborg, psychosis area, consists of three units with inpatient care and four units with outpatient care. At our clinic in Trelleborg, we assess, investigate, diagnose, and treat individuals with a diagnosed psychotic disorder as well as conditions where psychosis development is suspected.

Since 2018, we have also been working according to the FACT method (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment), which means high flexibility and availability where much of the treatment takes place in the patients' home environment. We have a well-established collaboration with our municipalities and healthcare partners, as well as highly engaged staff working with patients from a holistic perspective.

In cases of suspected new onset of psychosis, we follow a specific concept that includes assessments, investigations, and family work. We also conduct group activities at the clinic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will have an exciting and varied job where meetings with patients occur either at the clinic, in the patient's home, or at another agreed location. As a nurse, you will work in an outpatient clinic with medication management, sample collection, and checks. As a nurse, you will be the primary contact for a number of patients, which means you coordinate the treatment work together with the patient, other professionals in the team, relatives, and healthcare partners. Furthermore, you will participate in medical consultations and have your own counseling contacts. In your daily work, you will always have your team as support. We have scheduled telephone advice and also work with family and patient education.

There are 13 people working at the clinic; nurses, doctors, caregivers, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, medical secretaries, peer support, and unit managers. With us, you have the opportunity to further develop your skills in the psychiatric field. Group supervision is provided regularly. We continuously work to develop and evaluate our operations and offer you a good working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare. A B driver's license is also required as home visits are part of the job. You have a genuine interest in psychiatry, and experience in psychosis care is an advantage.

As a person, you are confident in your professional role and structured and meticulous in your execution. We value a flexible and positive approach and assume that you enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and therefore have good collaborative skills. You easily find solutions and make decisions, are engaged, driven, and willingly share your knowledge and experience.
