Make a Difference. Every Day.

Are you a nurse looking to combine care with development? We are seeking you to join our team at the palliative care unit in Lund, with a part-time assignment in quality development.

The palliative care unit in Lund is organizationally part of the management of Close Care and Health, area of mobile teams and specialized palliative care in central Skåne. We offer specialized palliative care aimed at alleviating symptoms and preventing suffering associated with incurable or chronic illness. Patients are often, but far from always, at the end of life. More than half of the patients are admitted acutely via advanced home healthcare (ASIH), and all those who are admitted require specialized palliative inpatient care. Severe pain, anxiety, and infections are examples of common admission causes. After a period of treatment, some patients may return home.

If you are interested in learning and developing, both in your profession as a nurse and as a person, you will thrive in our department. We care about our community in the department and are good at organizing various types of staff activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We work with life, not death. With presence, dignity, and care, we create security, alleviate symptoms, and provide support in every encounter.

We now welcome a nurse to join us at the Palliative Care Unit in Lund. In this position, you will work approximately 25% on quality work, and the remaining time will be spent working clinically in our department. As a nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, chefs, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Sometimes a therapy dog is also included in the team.

We work person-centered with a focus on making a difference for our patients and their relatives every day. In your daily work as a nurse, you will face many independent decisions, but there are always colleagues in the team to support and assist you. The work can involve everything from medical tasks to care and support for relatives.

The quality work in this position involves systematically developing and securing the unit's quality by planning, leading, controlling, following up, evaluating, and improving the operations. The tasks may vary, and the assignment will be adapted to personal qualifications.

If you are interested in learning and developing, both as a nurse and as a person, you will thrive in our department.

We provide care around the clock with shifts during the day, evening, and night. In this position, there is an opportunity to work constant day/evening shifts.

When you start with us, you will receive a tailored introduction that is adapted to your specific needs. You will then be offered a mentoring program to support your development and integration into our organization.
