Centralsjukhuset Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Skåne. Here, emergency care is provided around the clock. CSK has the resources of a large hospital combined with the proximity and community of a smaller hospital. The hospital offers residents in the catchment area care in most specialties. We have approximately 2,600 employees.

The area of Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care in Kristianstad operates at CSK and consists of the Operating Department, Anesthesia Clinic, Intensive Care Unit, Postoperative Department, Pain Clinic, Sterile Technical Unit, and Day Surgery.

We are about 60 employees, and our workgroup consists of specialist nurses, general nurses, and nursing assistants. The postoperative department has 13 beds for patients who have undergone surgery or other procedures requiring some form of anesthesia.

The best part of my job in the postoperative department is that the work is varied, educational, and developmental. Together with a nursing assistant, I care for both children and adults with various procedures. I visit patients in the ward who have received an epidural catheter, known as EDA rounds. I have close contact with the wards, anesthesia/surgery, day surgery, and pain clinic. In our workgroup, there is a good working atmosphere with a strong sense of teamwork, says Monica, nurse in the postoperative department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will perform pre- and postoperative tasks. The work involves nursing responsibility for patient care, where you help ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Nurses and nursing assistants work in teams with anesthesiologists who are always available. You will perform medical orders and be responsible for postoperative monitoring of vital parameters.

We offer you an independent job with a great variety of work within a broad surgical operation with patients of varying ages. You will receive an individually tailored introduction based on your previous experiences. Employment with us means working day, evening, night, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you as a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. A specialist nursing degree in intensive care, anesthesia, or experience in similar work is meritorious for the position.

As a person, you are responsible and secure in your professional role but also attentive and curious to learn new things. The work requires you to have a flexible approach to working under changing circumstances and in a varying pace. Your working method is characterized by focusing on the patient and patient safety. You enjoy working in a team and actively contribute to creating a good working atmosphere. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
