Are you a licensed psychologist looking to work in infant and early childhood psychiatry within a specialized and interdisciplinary setting? Then this could be the position for you.
Viktoriagården is an outpatient clinic with a particular focus on infant and early childhood psychiatry, attachment, and interaction treatment. Children aged 0–6 years come here with their parents for assessment and treatment of various forms of mental health issues and developmental difficulties. The clinic also accepts expectant parents when there is identified prenatal attachment issues. The work is characterized by a clear child and parent perspective where several psychotherapeutic approaches and professional competencies collaborate.
Currently, a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, social workers, special educators, nurses, doctors, medical secretaries, and unit managers work at the clinic. The operation also includes an infant and early childhood clinic in Trelleborg. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now welcoming a psychologist with therapeutic competence to Viktoriagården. The role includes conducting qualified child psychiatric assessments and evaluations, among other things, as a basis for neuropsychiatric investigations. You will also work with qualified interaction and treatment work with children under six years and their parents, where attachment and relationships are the focus.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with other professionals at the clinic and involves joint planning and follow-up of interventions to ensure the best possible care for the patient and family. As a psychologist with us, you will encounter complex cases within the entire diagnostic spectrum of child and adolescent psychiatry, making the work both stimulating, varied, and developmental. Collaboration with neighboring care providers and other actors is a natural part of the assignment.
We offer a structured introduction and regular supervision from experienced practitioners. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed psychologist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Experience in child psychiatric treatment work, particularly with infant and early childhood families, is an advantage. Knowledge of early childhood development, attachment, and interaction treatment is also meritorious, as is experience in psychological assessments and evaluations for neuropsychiatric investigations. A license as a psychotherapist is considered an asset.
You have a strong patient focus and a genuine commitment to children and their upbringing conditions. You are stable, responsible, and able to handle emotionally demanding situations. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, enjoy working in a team, and contribute to a professional and respectful approach. You are proactive, flexible, and have an interest in working with families in complex life and family situations. Personal suitability is of great importance.
