At the health center, there are currently about 32 employees. We have over 7,500 registered patients and 750 registered children at the BVC. Hörby is a community with a rural character and varying complex medical considerations daily.

Collaboration between professional groups is obvious to us so that our patients receive the care and treatment they need at the right time. We have specialist clinics in elderly care, asthma/COPD, smoking cessation, blood pressure, diabetes, and nursing clinics. A dietitian, rehab coordinator, occupational therapist, and psychologist are also available at the health center.

We have a large, well-functioning lab with experienced staff where we perform more local analyses as we have a biomedical analyst on site.

In the spring of 2026, we will establish a family center in existing premises. We are responsible for 4 SÄBO and 1 short-term care facility. We are the only health center in Skåne that has its own warm water pool in physiotherapy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of specialist physician with us, you will work alongside five other specialist physicians, two ST physicians, and one AT physician. Together with other professional groups at the health center, you will be responsible for investigating, treating, and following up on our patients. Supervision of ST and AT physicians may occur, as well as participation in quality and development work to contribute to continued high medical quality at the health center.

You will have access to a laptop, so part of your work can be done from home. In our large, generous premises, you will naturally have your own office where you can work undisturbed.

There is an opportunity to develop your own special interests such as minor surgery, skin/mole clinics, geriatrics, SÄBO, BVC, or the MLA assignment (Medical Management Responsibility).

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you as a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and who has specialist competence in general medicine. Additionally, language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement.
