The Adult Psychiatry Area (VO) in Lund is divided into four areas: inpatient care, outpatient care, resource teams, and psychosis. Within this area, we have about 670 employees. Here we conduct a wide range of psychiatric services where the employees together possess a great and collective competence. We are located in bright and modern facilities in Lund.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome a nurse to our night team!

The departments associated with this position are department 1/ psychiatric intensive care unit (PIVA) and department 3, which together form our psychosis departments. Department 1 has 13 care places and a PIVA unit with 3 care places, while department 3 has 16 care places. In PIVA, patients are cared for regardless of diagnosis, requiring enhanced supervision and monitoring, as well as a stimulus-poor care environment.

Your job responsibilities include both somatic and psychiatric nursing tasks occurring in a care department. Here, you will lead the assignment in close collaboration with your colleagues. Other tasks included in your work are health status checks, assessment of care needs, and support conversations. Counseling, medication management, and documentation are also part of your job responsibilities.

We continuously hold internal training sessions to raise our competence level and thereby streamline our care work. A good working climate is, of course, very important; therefore, camaraderie, humor, and direct communication are high on the list. In addition to a pleasant and exciting workplace, we offer orientation and shadowing tailored to your skills and previous experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse, or you with specialist training in psychiatry with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare and an interest in psychiatric care. Language skills in Swedish at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. We consider experience in the profession, within psychiatry and/or acute psychiatric inpatient care as an advantage.

As a person, you have an interest in psychiatry and want to work with different patient groups. You see collaboration as a prerequisite for providing good care, and your work is characterized by always having the patient in focus. You are calm, stable, and attentive to both patients and colleagues. A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are prerequisites for the position. Since the work can be physically demanding, we appreciate an interest in exercise and physical activity. We place great importance on personal suitability.
