Welcome to the Cardiology Department in Ystad!

The hospital in Ystad is a medium-sized acute care hospital in Skåne that offers a wide range of specialized care, both emergency and planned. We provide health and medical care with quality and accessibility around the clock. Our work is characterized by a holistic approach and care. In our department, we take care of patients with heart problems, which may include diagnoses such as heart attack, arrhythmia, or heart failure. When you work with us, you gain broad competence in cardiology and learn something new every day.

We are driven by being attentive to the patient's needs, thinking innovatively, and having a welcoming attitude towards both colleagues and patients. There is a well-functioning team around the patient where everyone works together. The department also has close collaboration with other units in both Lund and Kristianstad, such as thoracic surgery, coronary angiography, and pacemaker insertion, as well as other hospitals in and outside the region. All staff categories work closely together with the patient in focus.

For us, development is important, and we are therefore curious and find new ways to do our work. This can involve everything from patients' diets to wearable devices and bedside assessments of patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role, you will work with nursing and treatment of various diagnoses. Many of our patients require monitoring, and we use medical technology equipment extensively, such as CPAP, HFNC, and other advanced patient monitoring equipment. Your responsibilities also include rhythm and ECG interpretation. In addition to the clinical work with our patients, all staff members are involved in developing and improving care in our unit.

For us, it is important to have competent and motivated colleagues. Therefore, we invest in education and development for both experienced and less experienced nurses. It is important that you feel secure in your role as a nurse, and you will receive an introduction with a more experienced colleague.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish that correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. We welcome both those with experience in the profession and those who are newly graduated. Experience in cardiology, medical technology, and emergency care is an advantage.
