Make a Difference. Every Day.
Neurology Department 27 is a highly specialized unit focusing on Parkinson's, epilepsy, brain tumors, and stroke. Our flow consists of both acute and elective patients from the entire southern healthcare region. Within the various specialist teams, we conduct investigations, assessments, and make treatment decisions at an advanced level, based on person-centered care. We work in interdisciplinary teams where daily work is characterized by good collaboration and understanding of each other's competencies.
Since autumn 2024, our department has been assigned an important mission within National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) focusing on the area of epilepsy. We are proud and happy to have this opportunity and the trust it entails. This will lead to a renewal of our care facilities to offer even better care and greater opportunities for individual development in this specific area. In the summer of 2025, state-of-the-art care facilities were built in our EP monitoring unit (epilepsy) to provide world-class care.
Together with our sister department, Neurology Department 25, we offer basic training to all new employees.
