Are you an occupational therapist with an interest in stroke rehabilitation? Then you might be the one we are looking for! We are now welcoming a driven colleague to our neuro team within the Rehabilitation Business Area at the Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK).

In the neuro team, we are six competent and dedicated occupational therapists who together staff stroke wards, geriatric day rehabilitation, and home rehabilitation. In addition to ward work, we provide specialized outpatient care for patients with Parkinson's, MS, spasticity, dystonia, and other neurological diseases. We are a positive group that supports each other in daily work and has a high motivation to strive forward and develop.

The Rehabilitation Business Area constitutes its own operational area and is responsible for rehabilitation efforts in all inpatient wards at CSK. The operation participates in team and day care activities primarily within medicine and pediatrics. Additionally, specialized outpatient care is provided in medicine, orthopedics, and surgery, encompassing approximately 20,000 visits per year. The operation conducts geriatric day rehabilitation for individuals with acquired neurological diseases and specialized home rehabilitation according to Early Supported Discharge (ESD). Within the Rehabilitation Business Area, we are about 65 employees distributed among physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries.

In the operation, we are 16 competent occupational therapists who are now looking for a driven colleague. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome you as an occupational therapist to our wonderful team! With us, you will be offered a position in geriatric day rehabilitation (day rehab).

Day rehab is a team of competent and dedicated occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation nursing assistants, and a coordinator who work together with doctors, social workers, speech therapists, and dietitians from the VO Medicine Kristianstad. Day rehab conducts geriatric day rehabilitation for individuals with acquired neurological diseases (primarily stroke) and collaborates closely with specialized home rehabilitation according to Early Supported Discharge (ESD). As occupational therapists in day rehab, you contribute your specific professional expertise in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating patients. In close collaboration with the team and the patient, you will jointly develop a rehabilitation plan to achieve the patient's goals.

To ensure that you feel secure with us as a new employee, you will receive an individually tailored introduction and mentorship from an experienced colleague during your initial period. We are a knowledge-based operation and believe it is important for those who wish to have the opportunity to develop within their field. We have a generous approach to professional development. We have two employees who are specialists and three employees who are training to become specialists; we welcome more employees to specialize.

Working hours are primarily scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you as a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare. Your language skills correspond to at least level C1 in Swedish according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

As a person, you are flexible, proactive, and have a professional approach. You have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. We value good collaboration skills, as daily work is largely characterized by teamwork. Of course, you work according to the values of Region Skåne.
