Make a Difference. Every Day.

The Psychiatry, Habilitation and Aids administration is an organization with operations spread across Skåne. We have a comprehensive mission where different competencies collaborate to provide our patients with the best possible care and support. With a strong focus on development and research, we work with curiosity and commitment to continuously improve our efforts. Are you interested in becoming part of our team at the Habilitation Clinic for children and youth and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic in Hässleholm?

Our two operations have a well-established collaboration, and we are now looking for an occupational therapist who wants to join our team. The previous occupational therapist, who worked in both operations, has chosen to move on to new challenges. We are now offering a position where you will primarily work at the Habilitation Clinic (60% of the position) and the remaining time (40%) at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic. Both operations are located in the same building on the hospital grounds in Hässleholm. With us, you will have the opportunity to work with children and adolescents in important developmental stages. We offer a stimulating and varied work environment with a strong team spirit, broad expertise, and a warm approach that permeates the entire organization. Our work is both person-centered and family-centered, and we strive to create participation for both patients and their relatives.

The habilitation services target individuals with permanent disabilities and their relatives. The disabilities may include mobility impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism. We place great emphasis on creating participation for both patients and their families.

The child and adolescent psychiatric service in Hässleholm offers traditional outpatient care, which forms the foundation for the clinical operations. There is also an infant service and access to intermediate care services located in Kristianstad. At the clinic, interdisciplinary teams with broad expertise work to meet the needs of patients. Hässleholm is a hub for train traffic, and the clinic is within walking distance from the station. There are also good bus connections.

At the Habilitation Clinic for children and youth and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic, we offer a positive work climate with great openness to collaboration, both within the team and with our partners. The work is flexible and allows you to develop a broad competence and grow in your professional role.

We look forward to welcoming you to our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist with us, you will meet children and adolescents from all the target groups that come to us. The work involves increasing the ability to participate in activities based on the individual needs by analyzing needs and providing advice, support, and treatment regarding daily activities. A large part of the work involves guiding children, youth, and their networks to create change in daily activities. Additionally, you will assess needs, prescribe, and trial both cognitive and other medical technical aids, as well as participate in assessing and adapting the family's home and other premises. The work is outward-facing and involves collaboration with, among others, preschools, schools, healthcare, social services, and LSS, among others. We primarily meet digitally and physically when needed, and offer interventions both individually and/or in groups. This means that travel in the job may occur. We participate in development projects with the National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, and the youth home in Hässleholm, where your contributions as an occupational therapist may become relevant and provide opportunities to work interdisciplinary and in close collaboration in both of our operations.

We offer you as a new employee a solid introduction program and supervision from an experienced occupational therapist colleague from habilitation who will support you during your first time with us. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday, where the distribution between workplaces is that you work at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic on Monday and Friday and Tuesday to Thursday at the habilitation clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare and who has language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. In your role, you will also have close contact with both family members and other operations, which requires a good approach and good communication skills. Since travel to the child's home or school is included in the position, a valid B driver's license is also a requirement. It is advantageous if you have experience working with children and youth and/or working with individuals with permanent disabilities. If you have training in CO-OP, AMPS, and/or school-AMPS, that is definitely a plus. Furthermore, we would like you to have experience and knowledge of working with cognitive support. Additionally, you have experience working with various IT systems and an openness to digital healthcare contacts, e-health, and 1177.

The work with us requires that you are self-directed and flexible in your work and have the ability to handle a varied work pace. Since we work in teams, it is important that you see the importance of and contribute to good collaboration. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

A background check is mandatory during the hiring process.
