We at AssistansExperten are now looking for an assistant who wants to work with our client in central Västerås and contribute to her receiving the help she needs to live as independently and valuably as possible based on her circumstances. The shifts are closer to 24-hour shifts with 9 hours of waiting time overnight.

The client is a 21-year-old girl with physical and intellectual disabilities who lives in her own apartment in central Västerås. She is a social girl who enjoys interacting with others and doing fun things together. The tasks include, among other things, personal care, assistance with dressing and undressing, help during meals, transfers, household chores, cooking, and assistance with various activities inside and outside the home.

In her free time, the client enjoys reading books, throwing a ball, going for walks, or visiting the playground. She likes when things happen around her, so it is important that you, as an assistant, have the ability to take your own initiatives.

The client lacks a spoken language and communicates through body language, sounds, facial expressions, and sometimes even with a digital communication aid.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is calm, attentive, curious, secure, and understands the difference personal assistance can make to each individual's quality of life. Important qualities for you to work in our team are that you are responsible, mature, and have the ability to keep order around you. It is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and that you are straightforward and clear in your communication. We highly value your ability to vary between play, fun, and patience, and that you can be yourself as the client is motivated by social interactions that occur at her level. You need to be in good physical shape as the work involves manual lifting and support during transfers, which requires full mobility.

About the position

Working hours: 15:15 - 09:00 weekdays or 10:00 - 10:00 weekends. Waiting time at night (sleeping on duty) occurs between 21:00 - 06:00. The positions are approximately 50-65%.

The schedule options are as follows:

• Option 1: Tuesdays 15:15 - Wednesdays 09:00, and every fourth Sunday 10:00 - Mondays 09:00
• Option 2: Wednesdays 15:15 - Thursdays 09:00, and every fourth Sunday 10:00 - Mondays 09:00
• Option 3: Every other Saturday 10:00 - Sundays 10:00

Employment form: As long as the assignment lasts (SLUV employment), hourly employment during the introduction.

Salary: Fixed hourly wage by agreement. Other compensations according to collective agreement.

Start date: Introduction and start will be according to agreement.
