Civitas Assistans was founded to offer something unique in personal assistance in Dalarna: a warm, family-oriented, and at the same time professional alternative. We who work here have long experience in assistance both privately and professionally. As a personal assistant with us, you will be a key person in someone's life. Do you want to be part of my everyday life?

I am now looking for personal assistants who, together with me, want to create as independent, safe, and valuable a life as possible, based on my conditions.

I am a woman in my 30s living with an acquired spinal cord injury from a traffic accident. Despite this, I am positive, social, and enjoy community, quiet moments at home, and small gems in everyday life – such as playing games, cooking, or watching movies together. I also have ADHD, which means I sometimes need extra support with structure, planning, and creating calm and clarity in everyday life. For me, it is important to have a safe, stable, and predictable environment.

I appreciate close and secure relationships with my assistants and place great importance on the collaboration feeling personal, respectful, and relaxed. My days can be calm but also have a pace when I visit various healthcare facilities.

As my assistant

you are a close support in my everyday life. Your tasks include, among other things:

• personal care
• assistance with dressing and undressing
• household chores and cooking
• support with activities inside and outside the home

Who are you?

I am looking for someone who is secure, caring, attentive, and responsible, and who enjoys working closely with another person. Personal chemistry and a good collaboration are important to me. You as an assistant should be calm and gentle, with good patience, a cheerful demeanor, and a sense of humor. For me, personal chemistry is important, that I feel you care about me and want to be with me for real; otherwise, it will not work. I feel most comfortable with female assistants, preferably with experience in NPF diagnoses so that you can better understand me, but your personal qualities are absolutely the most important to me. It is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and that you are direct and clear in your communication.

Previous experience in personal assistance or care is an advantage but not a requirement — the most important thing is personality, attitude, and commitment. Introduction and training will be provided.
