About Unika Kvicksund, Sandatäppsvägen

Unika Kvicksund's group home is a residence according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) located between Västerås and Eskilstuna. Here, five individuals with varying and extensive disabilities live, which means that the work can be demanding, both physically and mentally. You will provide support based on the individual needs of the users and work with personal care, medication management, social activities, digital documentation, and contact with relatives. Many of our users require structure and predictability, and it is essential that you have a pedagogical and consistent approach. You have the ability to handle pressure and stress without losing focus, with a genuine commitment to creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our users. You are low-arousal, responsive, and pedagogical in your interactions. In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

About the Role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will assist users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with a high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create safety and predictability in the users' everyday lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.

  • Experience in healthcare and social services.

  • High school education such as child and leisure program, healthcare and social services program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

It is an advantage if you also have:
  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.

  • Worked with complex support needs.

Employment Conditions

Employment Type: Temporary, Summer Position Working Hours: full-time/part-time Working Time: Awake night, day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call. Start Date: By agreement, we view positively if you can start shortly. Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
