Work as a Personal Assistant with Alma Assistans

Alma Assistans is the dedicated company that, in collaboration with the client, creates personalized assistance. We work closely with the client and know that good relationships are the key to well-functioning support. We operate throughout Sweden, with our headquarters in Uppsala and local offices in Gävle, Stockholm, Göteborg, Helsingborg, Jönköping, and Växjö.

We are looking for someone who wants to join our wonderful team and work with a kind and cheerful 18-year-old girl who uses a wheelchair and has epilepsy. Since the client attends her daily activity between 08:10 and 13:30, the assistance is scheduled from 13:30 to 08:10 the next day.

You will meet the client when she returns from her daily activity at 13:30 (weekdays) and work until the following day when she leaves for her activity. On weekends, you will work 24-hour shifts from 09:00 to 09:00 (with waiting time during the night). You will primarily work as a temporary substitute in case of illness or other absence of regular staff.

The client needs support and supervision around the clock to perform daily tasks and activities. She requires assistance with daily hygiene, showering, medication intake, and dressing. She is fed via a tube, which you will be trained to handle on-site. She wishes to be as involved as possible in what she can do and communicates only through her own signs and sounds. Her interests include listening to music, snuggling under a blanket, going for a walk, or other activities suitable for the day.

You will work very closely with the family, so it is important that the collaboration between you works well.

We believe you are:

• Between 25–45 years old.
• Have a calm personality, patience, and the ability to come up with activities.
• Have knowledge and understanding of diagnoses and how best to treat the person behind them.

A B driver's license and access to your own car are desirable.

Working Hours:

• Weekdays: 13:30–08:10 (waiting time between 22:30–06:00)
• Weekends: 09:00–09:00 (24-hour shift)

We require an extract from the police criminal register, and the assignment will start as soon as possible. Employment can occur continuously during the application period, so please submit your application immediately.
