Assistant needed for charming 11-year-old boy in Västerås!

Hello! Are you a flexible person who takes responsibility and is engaged in your tasks? You have a calm demeanor while being resourceful, playful, and love working with children? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

We are now looking for assistants for a happy and charming 11-year-old boy. The position involves an employment of about 30%, with the possibility to work extra during the absence of regular assistants. During the summer, there is also the opportunity for several scheduled work shifts when regular assistants are on vacation and the boy is off school.

The boy enjoys singing/music, movement games, massages, hugs, and being outdoors. He lives in Västerås with his warm family consisting of a mother, father, and siblings.

The boy has a brain injury, epilepsy, and is blind. This means he needs help with all aspects of his daily living. He requires assistance with dressing, hygiene, communication, and mobility. He needs help with feeding and receives food through a PEG (feeding tube). He also needs help with play, exercise, and stretching his body.

You will receive training if you are offered the job, but experience is an advantage. You need to be in good physical shape as the job involves some training and play.

Applicants should be engaged, flexible, and responsible, as well as smoke-free, and strong scents are not allowed in the workplace. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, but it is not a requirement.

Working hours are scheduled during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and nights. During the night, it is a combination of active time and on-call. During school holidays and public holidays, daytime work will also be relevant.

God Assistans cares for its assistants, has a collective agreement, and offers wellness grants of up to 4,000 SEK/year.
