About the position

At Olivia, we are looking for a dedicated personal assistant for our client in Västerås! The position is approximately 50%, which corresponds to 20 hours/week. There is also the possibility to work as a substitute and step in as needed.

Working hours are scheduled as follows:

• 3 PM - 7 PM

• 9 AM - 4 PM (every other weekend)

About the client

The client is an active girl who enjoys engaging in various activities. She loves to ride, spin, and go bowling. Due to an intellectual disability, she needs support from a personal assistant in her daily life. When necessary, she uses both a walker and a manual wheelchair.

The tasks include:

• Support with daily routines and household chores

• Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and mobility

• Practical support in everyday activities

We believe that you who are applying for this position are someone who enjoys working with people and can put others' needs at the center. As a person, you are calm, pedagogical, and empathetic.

Requirements:

• Manual driver's license - to be able to drive the client's car

Employment rate: 1 position at 50% and 1 substitute position

Start date: Interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

Things to consider before your application:

A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you can present a valid ID and submit a personal certificate as well as any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. You can easily download a personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.

Due to the nature of the position, which may involve solo work, night shifts, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you will be working with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. As of March 1, 2026, new regulations will come into effect that mean the background check will include both an extract from the criminal record and an extract from the suspicion register. The extract can be ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Please note that processing times may vary, so ordering should be done in good time.
