About Viljan LSS and School

Viljan residential care has 35 accommodation places for young people, distributed across six houses with 6 young people in each house except one which has 5 places. We accept young people with neuropsychiatric diagnoses who are of high school age. We offer a safe, pleasant, and developing living environment. Together with the school, we collaborate to create a predictable environment for our youth where we acknowledge everyone's differences and thus strengths.

About the role as Development Educator

In this role, you will provide support to the residents in the areas they need based on the design of the assignment and the resident's wishes. Together with other staff members, you will work to create participation and a meaningful everyday life for the individual. You will support and guide in areas such as ADL, community contacts, school, and communication.

We see that you have previous work experience with young people with NPF and autism.

In this advertisement, we are recruiting for several positions, please indicate in your application which ones you are interested in. We have 2 permanent positions, one at 80% and one at 100%. There are 3 temporary positions at 100% and one at 75%. You will work on a schedule with varying working hours such as day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call.

We are also looking for substitutes who can work as needed.

Qualifications

You are a social educator, nursing assistant, or have an equivalent education. Additionally, you have experience working as a development educator within LSS or at least experience working with young people with NPF diagnoses. Based on that experience, you apply a pedagogical approach and understand that the starting point in daily work is our residents and that they should have a safe and supportive everyday life.

You are flexible, adaptable to change, and empathetic in your interactions.

Requirements:

  • Education as a social educator, nursing assistant, or equivalent education

  • Experience working with NPF diagnoses

  • Knowledge of LSS

  • Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

  • Knowledge and experience in documentation

  • B driver's license

Meritorious:

  • Experience working as a development educator within LSS for youth

  • Experience in clear pedagogical methods, AAC, and Low-Arousal approach

Employment Conditions

Role: Development Educator

Employment type: Permanent, temporary

Working hours: 75-100%

Work schedule: Day, evening, and weekend

Start date: August (or by agreement)

Collective agreement: Yes
