ABOUT THE POSITION

Do you want to be an important part of someone else's everyday life and help create a meaningful existence? We at Kura Omsorg are now looking for a dedicated part-time personal assistant for our client in Kungsör. The position includes approximately 20–30 hours per month, where you will work 2–3 days a week. The client attends school on weekdays, and your shifts will start when he comes home, which is usually after 2 PM. Weekend shifts may also occur.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a 17-year-old active boy with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and a mild intellectual disability. To facilitate his daily life, he uses aids such as a shower chair, electric wheelchair, and lift.

As a personal assistant to our client, you will among other things:

• Assist with transfers

• Help with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals

Furthermore, he is a very active boy who loves to shop and take walks. He also has a great interest in engines. As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of his daily life, supporting him with both practical needs and participating in the activities he enjoys.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR? 

We are looking for someone who is empathetic, responsible, and confident in taking their own initiatives. Since our client is an active boy with many interests, it is important that you are flexible and can adapt to different situations. You should be attentive and aware of his needs while being solution-oriented and able to assist with practical tasks such as transfers and personal hygiene. It is also important that you are comfortable being in environments with chlorine, as such environments may occur. 

In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on your personal suitability and how well you fit to meet the client's needs. Our client prefers male applicants.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must tolerate chlorine and be a competent swimmer 

• Valid B driver's license 

Employment level: 20-30 hours per month, approximately 2-3 days a week. 

Start date: To be agreed upon, and we would like to see you start the introduction immediately.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

It is important that the extracts are ordered in good time, as the police's processing time may vary. Due to a change in the law from March 1, 2026, the background check will be expanded to include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register.
