Social Worker

As a social worker with us, you will be the driving force that helps people strengthen, grow, and find new paths forward!

The individual and family care is one of three areas within the social services. Here, we actively work for close and well-functioning cooperation – both within our own operations and together with our various partners. The area is divided into two units responsible for authority exercise and supportive measures. One focuses on children, youth, adults, and their families, while the other targets individuals receiving financial assistance.

The unit for support and assistance consists of both authority exercise and execution activities. We investigate and assess the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act and coordinate the municipality's labor market efforts based on internal and external assignments. The goal is to guide people towards self-sufficiency and an independent life through motivational work and supportive measures. We have good collaboration, close support from management, and offer external supervision in addition to other benefits such as flexible working hours, wellness grants, and free access to Kungsör's swimming pool.

Welcome to a wonderful team that promotes learning and professional development!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in our execution activities, you will work with individuals' entire situations focusing on motivation and change work. You meet each individual with dignity and respect, aiming to strengthen their own abilities. The work is dynamic and varied, consisting of both individual conversations and group work, and sometimes visits to places relevant to each client's work, such as visits to internship sites. A crucial part of the job is collaboration and cooperation with other parties, both within the social services, other municipal operations, and with external actors such as the Employment Agency and the Social Insurance Agency.

To meet the needs based on the government's activity requirements, we have established our own competence and motivation-enhancing operations that work supportively with the goal of more people achieving self-sufficiency. Here, you will play an important role in further developing and shaping the work together with a colleague already in place.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, we are looking for someone with a degree in behavioral science, a social worker, or other relevant education for the assignment. You need to have a B driver's license, good computer skills, and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have experience in municipal labor market work and financial assistance. If you have also worked in any of our collaborating partners' operations, such as the Employment Agency, and conducted work ability assessments, that is a plus. Training and experience in some form of conversation methodology are also seen as an advantage.

As a person, you are engaged and enjoy working in a team while independently driving the work forward. Since the assignment includes both developing and driving operations, you need to be structured and have experience in executing and providing feedback on completed work. You should also be adaptable to changing circumstances and sometimes a fast pace. To succeed in the role, it is important that you are attentive in your contact with others and have a natural ability to understand others' perspectives and situations without losing your professional integrity. You have a positive view of people and recognize individuals' own resources. Through your coaching approach, you promote collaboration for increased independence. You also actively participate in the unit's development work and contribute to a good and pleasant working environment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We look forward to your application - welcome!
