Health Advisor at Health Center Västmanland

Do you want to work to strengthen people's health and quality of life? We are now looking for health advisors for a permanent position and a temporary position at Health Center Västmanland. With us, you will be part of an engaged team that works health-promoting and preventive for the entire region.

Job Responsibilities

As a health advisor, you will support individuals who want to change their lifestyle habits. This may involve dietary habits, physical activity, sleep, stress, alcohol, tobacco, and nicotine. You will conduct individual coaching sessions, lead group activities and lectures, and hold training sessions based on individual needs, including yoga, mindfulness, and basic meditations. The work takes place both through physical meetings and via digital platforms. You will collaborate with other actors who meet our target groups both within the region and externally with municipal activities. Together with colleagues, you will also contribute to developing methods and working practices in the organization. Your employment is at Health Center Västmanland with primary placement in Köping, but work also occurs at our other health centers in the region.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in health sciences or another higher education degree that the employer considers relevant. You have good knowledge of dietary habits, physical activity, stress management, sleep, tobacco, and nicotine, and hold a B driver's license as travel is required in the position. Since you will need to communicate with people both verbally and in writing, physically and via digital platforms, we require good knowledge of the Swedish language and experience using computers and digital tools as work instruments. If you have language skills beyond Swedish, it is an advantage. Experience in health-promoting work with our target groups where you have actively worked with individuals needing to change their lifestyle habits is also meritorious. Experience in coaching conversations and leading groups, such as conducting training sessions or giving lectures, is also a plus.

To thrive in the role, you need to be confident in your position with a professional approach. You are a person who takes responsibility for your tasks and planning so that the work functions efficiently. Through your ability to initiate, prioritize, and complete your work, you drive tasks forward for good results. You place great value on working with health conversations, group activities, and training sessions as a way to support the target group. In collaboration with others, you are attentive, have a respectful attitude that contributes to creating and maintaining good relationships. Since a large part of the work is based on coaching conversations and includes group activities and lectures, you need to be able to adapt your communication style based on individuals' different conditions and various target groups.

Employment Conditions

One position is permanent full-time with start date as agreed

One temporary position is full-time with start date in June or August 2026

Your employment is at Health Center Västmanland with primary placement in Köping, but work also occurs at our other health centers in the region

There is some possibility for remote work when the business allows.
