Economic Assistance in Sala Municipality is Looking for a New Colleague
Do you have experience in social work, authority exercise, and investigative work? Are you interested in actively working towards change to help people achieve self-sufficiency?
As one of our employees is going on parental leave, we are now looking for a new colleague for economic assistance in Sala Municipality.
About the Workplace
Economic assistance is part of the Adult Unit within the Social Services, which also includes adult authority exercise. As an employee in economic assistance in Sala, you work with colleagues in a good community and an open work climate with a lot of engagement. The economic assistance unit provides advice, support, and targeted interventions to individuals and families. The goal is to strengthen people's resources and opportunities to live an independent life and achieve self-employment.
For several years, we have been part of the same board as the Labor Market Unit and are conducting development work to support people in achieving employment with shared resources. This means we have a high degree of collaboration. We are also part of an ESF project "The Path to Work" together with AME. Last year, we also initiated the possibility to apply for economic assistance digitally. In daily work, there is support from team leaders and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
In Economic Assistance in Sala, you and your colleagues assess the right to economic assistance but also meet, guide, and motivate individuals to set goals for achieving sustainable support through work, studies, or other compensation. You also collaborate with other parts of social services, the Labor Market Unit, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Region, among others.
The work includes documentation, and we use the operational system Pulsen Combine.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a social worker, behavioral scientist, or has another higher education in social work that the employer considers relevant for the position. It is desirable that you have training in social law. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with economic assistance and can handle various aspects such as estates and incorrect payments.
We see it as an advantage if you have experience in authority exercise or other relevant experience for the position.
To succeed in this position, you need to be good at meeting people. You have a good ability to understand people's different living conditions and can meet people with respect and sensitivity. You plan and structure your work and drive your processes forward. As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and secure. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment. You also have the ability to maintain focus in stressful situations. You communicate clearly, plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
You can work independently and in close collaboration with others based on set goals and guidelines. Since the work involves a lot of communication and documentation, you need to be able to speak and write in Swedish, as well as use operational systems and digital tools.
We place great importance on personal suitability and that the members of the group complement each other.
