Residential Support Worker Needed on an As-Needed Basis

We are currently looking for someone to work as a residential support worker on an as-needed hourly basis for a housing service for adults with substance abuse issues within the support and treatment sector.

The supported housing service aims to provide adult women and men with safety and support while promoting motivation and continued sobriety. The idea of the service is based on participation, meaningfulness, and context, where employment is a prerequisite for increased well-being and independence. Customized support is tailored to the user's current situation and specific needs. The goal is for the user to eventually manage their own housing. In cases where this is not possible, the supported housing can continue to be a stable place in their lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a residential support worker, your role includes providing residents with help towards self-help. Together with the residents and other staff, you will create a safe living environment and access to certain activities.

You will work to achieve set goals and contribute to development within the administration. The position includes collaboration with staff from the Health and Social Care Administration as well as with Health and Medical Services. Our residences have scheduled working hours, including weekend and evening shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are an educated social pedagogue or treatment pedagogue, preferably with experience in substance abuse issues. You have a genuine and open interest in working with individuals with substance abuse problems. It is an advantage if you have previously held a functional/coordinating responsibility.

You are secure and have the ability to create constructive solutions to problems that may arise in working with users who have substance abuse issues and/or mental and physical health challenges. You are also an important part of creating a good working climate. You are a good communicator, nurture relationships, and see the benefits of networking and collaboration.

You are proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and you must be over 20 years old.
