IT System Technician at Räddningstjänsten Syd
Räddningstjänsten Syd is a municipal federation responsible for emergency services in Malmö, Lund, Burlöv, Eslöv, and Kävlinge. We are now looking for an IT System Technician who wants to take responsibility for the operation, stability, and further development of a critical IT environment.
About the Role
As an IT System Technician, you will be part of our IT & Communication function, alongside two IT technicians and two communication technicians. You will work closely with operations, focusing on operations and infrastructure, with significant responsibility and authority to drive improvements.
You will work hands-on in environments where availability, security, and robustness are crucial. The work takes place both at stations and offices as well as in our technical environments. The role is broad and varied, with an approximate distribution of 50% ongoing operations and 50% projects and development.
We are in the middle of a larger modernization of the entire IT environment, which provides excellent opportunities to take responsibility, influence solution choices, and develop in new areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an IT System Technician, you will work with:
- Operation, management, and further development of local networks at stations and offices.
- Operation and maintenance of server and VM environments.
- Ensuring that the IT environment delivers, is available, and is kept up to date.
- Troubleshooting and handling incidents in critical operational environments.
- Participation in and driving technical improvements and projects.
- Documentation of solutions, routines, and working methods.
- MDM management of mobile work tools.
Periodically, the work may also include larger change projects, upgrades, rollouts, and collaboration with external suppliers. The role includes some operational support for both administrative and operational staff. On-call duty may occur but is not the main focus of the role.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least 5 years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure.
- Post-secondary IT education, such as YH in IT operations, system technology, or equivalent (or equivalent documented work experience).
- Good general IT competence and understanding of the overall IT environment.
Experience with:
- Windows server environments.
- Administration of Microsoft 365.
- Active Directory / Entra ID.
- Basic networking skills.
- Experience with server and virtualization environments.
- Ability to work systematically in environments with high demands for stability and security.
- Good Swedish in speech and writing.
- Driver's license B.
Desirable is deeper knowledge in networking, server/virtualization, or IT security, as well as experience from the public sector or other critical societal operations.

The position is subject to security clearance according to applicable regulations.
Working hours: Daytime, Mon-Fri.
Location: At the fire station centrally in Malmö.
