The Engineering part of Sigma Connectivity are always looking for talented mid- and senior-level engineers that would like to work in the role of a consultant. Your tasks, technologies, and environment will vary based on your expertise, interests, and client assignments — giving you the opportunity to explore new challenges and expand your skillset.

This is a spontaneous application, meaning we welcome your profile even if we don’t have a specific role published today. We focus on matching the right person with the right projects as new opportunities arise. Our main focus is embedded systems, but we also have opportunities in backend development and/or electronic engineering.

You’ll contribute either in-house in cross-functional teams or at client sites, working across industries such as smart home, defense, automotive, connectivity, and consumer products. We are primarily based in the Skåne-region (Malmö & Lund).

Technical Competence – What We’re Looking For:

Embedded Software Development

We’re looking for engineers with experience working close to the hardware. You should be comfortable with one or more of these areas:

• C/C++ for embedded systems
• Embedded Linux
• Android Framework development (embedded Android)
• Driver development and low-level protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, BLE, etc.)
• Meriting: Yocto, Docker for embedded, automated testing, and Python for tooling and scripting.

Backend Development

As a backend engineer with us, you’ll work with everything from APIs to modern microservices and cloud-based systems. Experience in any of the following is valuable:

• Java, Python, Go, or Node.js/TypeScript
• SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• API development (REST, GraphQL)
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Meriting: CI/CD pipelines, event-driven architecture, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and secure backend design.

Electronics Engineering

We’re also looking for engineers who want to develop electronic hardware from concept to final product. Experience in:

• Schematic design and PCB layout (Altium, KiCad or similar)
• EMC considerations, testing and troubleshooting
• Analog/digital electronics, sensors, and power design
• Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators
• Meriting: RF design, embedded Linux boards, test equipment development, verification, and production engineering.

It’s a Plus If You Have Experience With:

At the moment, our clients are particularly interested in profiles with experience in the following technical domains:

• Rust – system-level development, safety-critical, high-performance, or memory-safe systems
• Bazel – large-scale build systems, CI/CD, monorepos

Other merits

• Permanent residence permit in Sweden (required for certain defense-related projects)
• Swedish language skills
• Previous experience working with companies in the Scania region
• Background in the Swedish security or defense industry
