Description

Kustbevakningen's IT department is located in Karlskrona, Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö.

Here we develop and manage systems used throughout the authority – from operational actions at sea to administrative support functions. Our solutions need to be robust, secure, and always available. When our systems work, the operations work as well.

We are on an exciting and intense digital development journey. The world is changing rapidly, and the demands for information security, integration, and availability are high. The IT department is organized into four units: client and support, IT infrastructure, IT security, and application development and IT support.

We are now looking for someone who wants to take a key role within the application development and IT support unit – as a system developer with a focus on integrations.

Responsibilities

In the role of system developer:

  • You design and develop integrations between the authority's operational systems, both new integration flows and further development of existing solutions.
  • You contribute to creating sustainable, scalable, and secure integration solutions that meet both today's and tomorrow's needs.
  • You help ensure that the right information reaches the right recipient at the right time, a prerequisite for effective actions and well-founded decisions.

You work in a competent development team with close collaboration with system owners, IT architects, project managers, technicians, and business representatives. Here you have the opportunity to influence, take responsibility, and contribute your expertise in an environment where quality and security are always in focus.

If necessary, you also participate in other development teams related to Kustbevakningen's own developed operational systems. Your work will be a direct part of the authority's societal mission.

Qualifications

You have:

  • An academic degree in computer engineering, systems science, software development, or other education and/or experience that Kustbevakningen assesses as equivalent.
  • Current work experience as a system developer and developing in a .NET environment with experience in C#, SQL, and API development.
  • Good understanding of message handling and integration patterns and experience in data modeling and integration with databases.
  • Experience working agile, both independently and in teams.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience in integration development and some integration platform.
  • The ability to analyze integration needs and design robust, scalable solutions.
  • Experience in architecture and design patterns for integration solutions.
  • Experience in monitoring and log management.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, version control, testing, and automation of build/deploy flows.

As a system developer with us, you need to have the ability to see the whole picture – to understand how technology, operations, and user needs are interconnected. You are communicative, collaborative, and confident in dialogue with various stakeholders.

Above all, you are driven by creating solutions that last over time, are fundamentally secure, and contribute to something greater than just technology. Here you have the opportunity to grow professionally while helping to build digital infrastructure for a safer and more sustainable society.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, qualities, and abilities.
