Job Responsibilities
As an operationally responsible technical team leader, you will have overall responsibility for Generic's operational environment and lead the daily work in the team while also working operationally with troubleshooting, configuration, and improvements. You will act as a link between technology and management, coordinate efforts, and follow up on projects. The role combines strategic responsibility with practical work and includes developing the platform, strengthening security, and improving efficiency and robustness in the infrastructure.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Act as team lead within the operations team
• Drive planned projects, follow up on deliveries, and report to the CTO
• Contribute to modernizing technologies and increasing system robustness
• Strengthen security through proactive and strategic choices
• Help reduce impact during any operational disruptions

The role is based in Luleå and surrounding areas. Generic believes in the power of local collaboration and values presence in the office, but they also offer flexibility with the possibility of partial remote work. You will report to and have close collaboration with Generic's CTO Fredrik.

Expected experience for the role:

• Experience in leadership within technical operations.
• University degree in IT, engineering, or equivalent experience
• Good communication skills and experience collaborating with both technicians and decision-makers
• Analytical and structured with the ability to prioritize and drive work forward
• Independent problem solver who uses documentation, AI, and support channels effectively
• Good understanding of operations, networks, and security

Preferred experiences:

• Docker/Kubernetes
• Virtualization (primarily VMware)
• Linux (operations and troubleshooting)
• Networks and firewalls
• DevOps tools (CI/CD, DX)
