Infrastructure Architect at the Swedish Customs in Luleå
The IT department of the Swedish Customs in Luleå is northern Sweden's largest employer in IT, with approximately 300 employees. Here, you will work with the latest technology and participate in the development of several exciting areas of operation. About the position
In the role of Infrastructure Architect, placed within the communication team at the IT operations of the Swedish Customs, you will work on the design and implementation of solutions within the communications area, including firewall, load balancing, and network solutions with associated components. You will work closely with other architects and employees to develop solutions for a stable and secure infrastructure for the Swedish Customs. These solutions range from small LAN and WAN to advanced comprehensive solutions for our data centers.
As an Infrastructure Architect, you will also be responsible for monitoring the external environment, which requires a strong interest in new technology and industry news.
You will also work with requirements specification and design in connection with procurement from external suppliers.
The role also includes a systems technician role where you, as a senior systems technician, alternate between daily operational events in the communications area and independent work with continuous improvements.
The Swedish Customs has a modern infrastructure and aims to be at the forefront. The IT operations unit faces significant challenges and changes to meet the extensive development projects ongoing within the EU and the Swedish Customs. Automation, container technology, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) are examples of focus areas in the coming years.
Are you the one we are looking for?
You have at least five years of experience gained in the workplace over the last eight years in the areas of networking and data communication.
Expressing yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English comes naturally to you. The position requires Swedish citizenship.
It is also advantageous if you have experience in operating any of the following:
- Firewall administration and network security.
- Networking in larger environments (routing and switching).
- Automation and virtualization.
- Linux.
- Post-secondary education in IT.
- Agile work processes and tools.
- DevOps.
