Tullverket is hiring a Network Systems Technician

Tullverket's IT department in Luleå is northern Sweden's largest employer in IT, with approximately 300 employees. About the position

As a Network Systems Technician, you will work within the Communication Team at Tullverket's IT operations and be part of a qualified team that produces high-quality services in areas such as networking and data communication, including data center and firewall administration. You will work closely with the entire IT operations unit in your delivery and alternate between daily operational events in both software and hardware, as well as independent work with continuous improvements. Together with your closest colleagues, you will ensure that Tullverket has a stable and reliable infrastructure.

Tullverket has a modern infrastructure and aims to be at the forefront. The IT operations unit faces significant challenges and changes to meet the extensive development projects currently underway within the EU and Tullverket. Automation, container technology, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) are examples of focus areas in the coming years. The role also includes monitoring the external environment, which requires a strong interest in new technology and industry news.

You will primarily work in the area of firewalls and security.

Are you the one we are looking for?

You have several years of experience in networking and data communication, gained in the workplace over the past five years.

Expressing yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English comes naturally to you. The position requires Swedish citizenship.

It is also an advantage if you have experience in operating any of the following:

  • Firewall administration and network security
  • Networking in larger environments (routing and switching)
  • Automation and virtualization
  • Scripting in larger environments
  • Experience with Linux
  • Post-secondary education in IT
  • Agile work processes and DevOps tools

The position includes on-call duty.
