About the workplace

The Social Services Department is responsible for elderly care, individual and family care, care for people with disabilities, municipal health and medical care, rehabilitation, refugee reception, and immigration issues.

In the unit for Management Support & Development, development leaders, operational coordinators, business developers, system administrators, as well as MAS and MAR work together. Our common mission is to provide effective and professional support to the department's goals. The unit is characterized by a fast pace, high engagement, and good cohesion, where collaboration, accountability, and a humble approach are natural parts of everyday life.

The Social Services Department in Ale municipality is now strengthening its digitalization efforts and is looking for an operational coordinator with a focus on digitalization. The role is new and central, focusing on translating digital development into concrete operational benefits. You will work closely with operational leaders for digitalization, system administrators, IT, and relevant operations.

Job Responsibilities

The goal of the position is to ensure that the digitalization of the Social Services Department contributes to increased quality, efficiency, and legal security. The work should be based on the needs of the operations, carried out in a structured and sustainable manner, and comply with applicable regulations.

In this role, you will coordinate, drive, and follow up on the digitalization work within the Social Services Department – from needs analysis and implementation to follow-up and management. The assignment also includes change management, project management of digital initiatives, and responsibility for finances, contracts, and supplier follow-up related to digital systems.

You will have an operational responsibility for information security and data protection and lead impact assessments and information security classifications in collaboration with relevant functions. The role has an operational and management-focused emphasis and complements the development leader's more municipality-wide assignment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we see that you have:

  • Experience in change management within municipal operations
  • Experience working with information security and data protection
  • Good knowledge of SoL and LSS as well as basic knowledge of HSL, OSL, archive legislation, and GDPR
  • An analytical, structured, and independent working style
  • The ability to prioritize, organize, and drive work towards set goals
  • A solution-oriented and engaged approach

We are looking for someone who is pedagogical, attentive, and clear in their communication, self-driven and relationship-building, and has a good ability to analyze needs and see the whole picture. You are persistent, structured, and drive development that leads to improved working methods. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
