About the Unit

K 3 regimental staff consists of about 40 employees, half of whom are professional officers and half have a civilian employment. The staff supports the commander of K 3 and other commanders at the regiment with coordination and follow-up and provides expert support in a range of different areas of expertise. The staff, led by the chief of staff, is organized into eight sections where you, as a security protection officer, belong to the security department (G2), which is responsible for security services within the Karlsborg garrison.

Main Responsibilities

Your tasks consist of handling security matters at K 3. In the role of security protection officer, you act as support to the unit commander in security matters and in the application of various regulations. Overall, the tasks largely consist of:

  • Handling cases within K 3 regarding exposure to security-sensitive operations in connection with procurement (SUA).
  • Establishing and following up security protection agreements and security protection arrangements with associated special security protection assessments and suitability assessments.
  • Conducting security assessments.
  • Managing access/permissions.
  • Participating in the preparation of K 3 security matters.
  • Conducting security training.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Swedish citizenship.
  • Driver's license (manual transmission).
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing (Swedish and English).
  • Good computer skills and experience working with the Office suite. Relevant work experience in case handling/investigation.

The position of security protection officer requires your integrity and ability to represent the employer in security matters. To be able to take on the position, we see that you are analytical and can work in a structured and independent manner. Furthermore, you are communicative, attentive, and have the ability to build trusting relationships as you will encounter people with different experiences and backgrounds in your work.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and effective units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion. The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be the first on site during an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
