Passalen is a non-profit organization that works for a more inclusive society that recognizes the potential in all children. We create inclusion for children and young people with disabilities who need support in organizing their leisure time, finding a friend, or trying out summer jobs, and we conduct activities that promote meetings between people.

About Jubileumsparken

Jubileumsparken is located in Frihamnen in Gothenburg. Here you can visit the harbor bath, try sailing, canoeing, or visit the sauna. In the summer of 2023, a greener and larger park with more pools opened, and in 2024, the popular sauna will be reopened.

Jubileumsparken is operated by the Passalen association through an IOP (idea-driven public partnership) between Passalen and the City of Gothenburg. Together with the City of Gothenburg, we are taking on the challenge of making Jubileumsparken an open and inclusive meeting place where everyone should feel welcome.

Pool Attendant

We are now looking for pool attendants for the summer peak season. As a pool attendant, you will welcome visitors who want to swim in the pools. You are responsible for safety and comfort in and around the pool, and you ensure that the facility is clean and safe for visitors. The work is very social, and you will collaborate with colleagues and meet many visitors.

As a pool attendant, you will move around the pool pontoon and monitor the water and swimmers. You are responsible for ensuring that it is safe for all visitors.

Examples of tasks

· Welcome visitors and inform them about the park's rules

· Clean changing rooms, sauna, and toilets

· Keep the pool pontoon clean.

· Monitor the pool area and ensure a safe swimming environment

· Keep an eye on the sauna

· Be responsible for fire safety

· Keep the park clean

· Plan and conduct various activities

· Conduct swimming training for children and adults

The position involves working evenings and weekends for training during the spring and working throughout the summer season, corresponding to about 60%!

About you

We are looking for someone who is interested in becoming part of Jubileumsparken and contributing to the development of the place.

It is important that you have good water skills and swimming ability and can demonstrate these skills before starting the position. Lifeguard training, swimming experience, and experience working in swimming facilities are advantageous but not required.

Training and learning on-site are part of the job, and the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and personality. You enjoy working outdoors in all weather, like meeting new people, and are willing to take your own initiatives. You see safety as an important part and are not afraid to step in if a visitor needs help.

Furthermore, you are open to conducting various activities. We place great value on personality, and we see it as important that you have a personal drive to want to develop Jubileumsparken and come up with ideas.

Meritorious for the position
