Senior Security Specialist

Do you want to work in security where your mission truly makes a difference for society every day? We are now looking for a senior security specialist who wants to take a comprehensive approach to physical security and preparedness in one of Sweden's most vital operations.

Your Task

This is a senior specialist role for you who want to make security operationally functional in practice. You work at the intersection of structure, operations, and real events – where legal requirements, risk profiles, and protection needs must be translated into clear working methods.

The focus is primarily on physical security, with a good understanding of the preparedness area. The structures are in place – now we need to strengthen the capability, educate the organization, and ensure that the work functions when it really matters. At the same time, we need to clarify a structured and functioning transition from project to management.

The role does not involve personnel responsibility, but it has a large mandate to influence. You act advisory and demanding towards operations and management and drive development through dialogue, structure, and trust.

Main Responsibilities

• Be responsible for driving and developing work within physical security
• Ensure that the group's decided security ambition, primarily within physical security, is implemented and followed up
• Develop, implement, and follow up governing documents, routines, and processes
• Work with risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning, and crisis preparedness
• Plan and conduct training, exercises, and scenario-based interventions
• Support operations through advice and requirements
• Collaborate with authorities and other relevant external actors
• Contribute to the development of technical and organizational security solutions

Your Team

You belong to the group's security function and are part of a team consisting of specialists, coordinators, strategists, and managers. Together, you work on issues related to physical security, preparedness, crisis management, and more.

The team has a close collaboration with other parts of the organization, including information security and business-critical functions, and collectively contributes to strengthening the security capability throughout the group.

Your Competence

• We are looking for someone with several years of experience in qualified security work at a strategic and operational level.
• Relevant education in security, civil protection, risk management, or equivalent experience is considered equivalent.
• You have documented experience in physical security in complex environments, such as facilities, infrastructure, or operations, as well as experience in preparedness, crisis management, or continuity work.
• You have good and practically applied knowledge of the Security Protection Act and the Protection Act, as well as experience in developing, implementing, and following up governing documents and working methods.
• Furthermore, you have experience in working advisory and demanding towards operations and management and are used to collaborating with authorities and external actors.
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement.

Meritorious

• Experience from the public sector or other vital operations is meritorious, as is work related to total defense, security protection, or protection of critical infrastructure.

Personal Characteristics

We are looking for someone who combines security and integrity with a strong ability to collaborate and a pedagogical approach to security work.

You are secure and trustworthy, stable in pressured situations, and have the ability to create calm and trust even in crises and sharp events. You work structured and analytically and can break down complex risks into concrete and actionable measures.

You are pedagogical in your communication and have the ability to educate, anchor, and create understanding for security requirements in the operations. At the same time, you have high integrity and good judgment. You dare to stand firm on necessary requirements even when it is uncomfortable and have a good balance between regulations and operational understanding.
