About the Role

Seize the opportunity to become part of Securitas Protection! We are now looking for dedicated employees for our protection guard operations in Landvetter for full-time employment.

We are currently seeking protection guards for assignments to protect critical operations for Sweden. This is a task for those who are not just looking for a job – but are ready to take on a responsibility with real significance for our country's supply and security. It’s about protecting what must function – around the clock, year-round.

As a protection guard, you play a crucial role in maintaining the security of operations that are important for Sweden. You work with extended powers, often in close collaboration with our clients.

The work is varied and may include both stationary and patrolling security, access controls, or work in a security center. You will need to make your own decisions in critical situations, have good endurance, and stable judgment. Therefore, we are looking for a person who has the ability to remain calm when others do not – and is loyal to Swedish interests.

Protection guard duties are carried out both indoors and outdoors, day and night. The length of shifts varies, but is often scheduled in 12-hour shifts according to a rolling schedule. Since Securitas is part of an operation that runs every day of the year, weekend work every other weekend is common.

The position involves, among other things, that you:

• Protect critical operations from unauthorized access and other threats
• Perform checks according to applicable regulations and instructions
• Collaborate with personnel and authorities on security issues
• You will carry a weapon

Requirements Specification

Requirements to apply:

• Have approved grades in Swedish from high school
• Good knowledge of English
• B driver's license

Other requirements:

• You need to undergo and be approved in a security clearance as the position involves placement in a security class
• You need to undergo a weapons training with a passing result

It is an advantage if you also have:

• You are a trained protection guard, civilian or military (with a valid approval)
• You are a security guard or orderly with valid approval.
• Previous experience in guarding protected objects, other security work, or security operations
• Have undergone extensive security clearances
• Weapons training (HAS)

Clarification for you as a military protection guard: If you have completed protection guard training with the Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces' basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The protection guard training, as well as GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your training certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application. You should have the documentation ready in your application, as it may take time to request it from the Armed Forces.

Security Clearance

Please note that the position is placed in a security class and means that you will undergo a security clearance according to Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities according to the Security Police's regulations and guidelines. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial conditions when assessing your suitability.

If applicable, a corresponding check may be made of the person you live with or have a similar relationship with.

To be considered for the position, it is therefore required (at a minimum) that;

• You are not listed in the Police Authority's various registers, e.g., suspicion registers, criminal records, etc.
• You have organized finances; do not have payment remarks, unresolved debts, or are listed with collection agencies or the Enforcement Authority

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company (the application is made by Securitas). Prior to the application, a background check and security interview will be conducted to assess whether the candidate meets the requirements for legality, suitability, and civic reliability and has no vulnerabilities. It is a requirement to have organized finances and no unresolved debts.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
