Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a difference in the development areas of Gothenburg and for its residents? We now offer an opportunity to work as a part-time employee in our areas of Hammarkullen/Biskopsgården.

As a safety representative, you contribute through visibility, presence, and relationship-building work to increase the perceived safety and comfort in our residential areas. Our safety representatives are role models in the area and work closely with other colleagues in the area and other actors in the district.

The working hours for safety representatives are scheduled for evenings and weekends, 15:00-23:00, every day of the year. You and your colleagues are the primary representatives of Bostadsbolaget, which means that in addition to meeting our tenants, you also ensure that everything is intact, clean, and tidy in the outdoor environment, environmental rooms, or other common areas in our residential areas.

Your main tasks include:

Being visible and present at the right place and time in the residential area during evenings and weekends to create safety for the tenants.
Actively working to create and maintain relationships with tenants, which builds trust and increases the sense of security in the area.
Ensuring that the outdoor environment and common areas in the residential area are clean, tidy, and safe.
Being a role model and acting as a role model through service and a boundary-setting approach.
Carrying out simpler service and maintenance tasks.

As a safety representative, you are part of Bostadsbolaget's safety organization, which belongs to the department of Social Sustainability. Those who work as safety representatives cannot work in the area where they live.

About You

To thrive in the role of safety representative, you must be social and want to work on building contacts with tenants. A genuine social engagement and a desire to work in a team are essential; you believe in the power of change and feel strongly about developing the living environment and our residential areas. You have a strong work ethic with a strong drive and take responsibility for moving work forward, both together with others and when you have individual tasks.

The role requires personal maturity, and to succeed in the assignment, you need to be empathetic and communicative with high integrity. You start from the equal value of all and create a good atmosphere in meetings with others. You are secure and confident in your professional role, maintain calm in difficult situations, and can, if necessary, withstand pressure from others and set boundaries.

Post-secondary education in social work, psychology, social pedagogy, or equivalent education deemed relevant for the position is advantageous, and experience in work within HVB, safety representation, treatment work, or similar activities is also advantageous.

We welcome candidates who speak multiple languages; however, good Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement. A driving license (B) is an advantage.

About Us

Bostadsbolaget has approximately 25,000 rental apartments distributed across all districts of Gothenburg. This makes us one of Gothenburg's largest landlords and an important part of community and urban development.

We are about 400 people working at Bostadsbolaget. Most work out in our residential areas closest to our tenants, while others work centrally in one of our support functions.
