Criminal Care seeks Intelligence Operator
Criminal Care is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The tasks of an intelligence operator in Criminal Care mainly involve gathering, compiling, evaluating, and analyzing information to improve the assessment of clients from a risk and security perspective. You will work actively and independently, producing intelligence products and materials that contribute to increasing the quality of operational activities. You will collaborate with the local security function and have assignments formulated at local, regional, and central levels. You may also have responsibilities outside your own area of operation. The probation services in Halland and Västra Götaland have offices in Borås, Halmstad, Skövde, and Vänersborg; you will be placed at one of these offices but will work across the entire operational area, which may require travel. Your tasks will also include collaboration with other authorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an interest and commitment to information security as well as security and intelligence issues. You have good analytical skills and take responsibility for your tasks to achieve the desired results. Your decisions are based on correct assessments, and you always act with the best interests of the organization in mind. Since you will have many contacts, both internally and externally, it is crucial that you possess good communication skills as well as good collaboration abilities and understand the importance of maintaining professional relationships in all contexts.

Requirements:
- Completed upper secondary education in the form of a final grade or diploma
- Several years of relevant work experience in intelligence or other work experience deemed relevant by Criminal Care
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Good IT skills
- Good ability to structure information and place it in the right context with well-considered conclusions
- Driving license B
It is advantageous if you have:
- Well-documented service in an intelligence function that meets our needs for this position
- Experience from Criminal Care's operations or from another part of the justice system
- Relevant higher education, preferably in political science, behavioral science, technology, law, or education
- Training in intelligence operations
- Good communication skills; great emphasis will be placed on how pedagogically and clearly you can express yourself.
- Experience in internal and external collaboration and good knowledge of the tasks of cooperating authorities
- Experience working with relational databases
- Other relevant language skills
