Security Coordinator for Gullspång and Töreboda Municipalities

Do you want to contribute to strengthening the ability of Gullspång and Töreboda municipalities to handle societal disturbances and crises? Due to retirement, we are now seeking an engaged and structured security coordinator who wants to be part of developing our joint work with security, crisis preparedness, and civil defense.

As a security coordinator, you will be part of a team working together with Gullspång and Töreboda municipalities, employed by Gullspång municipality. The work is both strategic and operational, alternating between long-term planning and quick interventions when needed. Here we work with short decision-making paths and in close collaboration with competent colleagues. There is drive and courage to develop, including being selected to participate in a national pilot project regarding food preparedness between authorities and the business community. We have an active volunteer resource group (FRG), an ongoing collaboration with the business community on preparedness issues, and more projects in the pipeline. You will have your workplace in the municipal offices in Hova and Töreboda.

Security is part of the Support and Strategy unit in Gullspång. In addition to security issues, the unit works with communication, administration, public health, community planning, tourism, and business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a security coordinator, your responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and developing the municipalities' work with crisis preparedness, civil defense, and security protection.
• Supporting operations in risk and vulnerability analyses and continuity planning.
• Developing, implementing, updating, and following up on governing documents in the area.
• Coordinating and developing the municipalities' crisis management work.
• Planning and conducting training and exercises in crisis preparedness and security.
• Collaborating with external actors such as the County Administrative Board, rescue services, and other authorities and municipalities.
• Driving projects related to the security area.
• Providing qualified support to management and operations.
• Handling and investigating matters for political decisions.
• Acting as deputy security protection manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant academic education in crisis preparedness, total defense, community safety, or equivalent. Experience in security and preparedness issues, preferably in the public sector, is an advantage. To succeed in the role, you need to understand legislation and regulations in the area, be able to work independently, and drive development work.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

A security clearance will be conducted as part of the employment, and the position involves placement in a security class. The employment begins with a probationary period.
