Södra Älvsborg Hospital is now looking for a security coordinator with a primary focus on preparedness.

About Us

Within the psychiatric care area, we work to provide children, adolescents, and adults with severe mental health issues and illnesses access to specialized and differentiated psychiatric care. The operation has a well-developed outpatient care system with various points of service, four inpatient care units, and an emergency care unit, consisting of approximately 550 employees.

As a security coordinator, you will be part of the psychiatric unit for operational development. The unit consists of just over 10 employees who work in various ways across the entire operational area. The position is partly located at the hospital's security department and works closely with it, primarily focusing on psychiatric operations.

About Our Open Position

In the role of security coordinator, you will have a consolidated responsibility for developing, monitoring, and further developing the security work within the psychiatric care area. The assignment involves driving a long-term, risk-based, and systematic security effort within psychiatry – with a particular focus on physical security, information security, crisis management, and preventive workplace measures.

In the role of security coordinator, you will act as the security officer according to SOSFS 2013:5 and be involved in supporting, developing, and implementing tasks within the organization's systematic security work. Through this work, you contribute to creating a safe, secure, and stable care environment for patients, employees, and visitors.

Main Areas of Responsibility Include:

• safety classification
• procedures for threats and violence
• safety rounds
• incident and risk management
• crisis management capability
• information security
• training and competence development

The position involves close collaboration with the organization's managers and internal and external partners, such as the hospital's security department, safety organizations, police, and others.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education as a risk engineer, security coordinator, or other equivalent education that the employer deems relevant. You have good knowledge and understanding of the entirety of security work and its various areas, as well as an unpretentious attitude. You have a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing. Experience in healthcare is an advantage.

For the role, you must have knowledge of governing laws, regulations, and rules within security work; particularly SOSFS 2013:5, LPT, LRV, the Patient Safety Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Work Environment Act with AFS 1993:2, the Penal Code, the Crisis Preparedness Ordinance, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as the Security Protection Act and the Security Protection Ordinance.

Other

The position may be classified in a security class. This means that a security clearance and background check may be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act before employment.
