Our main goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand centers, and client transport.

The Skogome area is the largest prison in Sweden for men convicted of sexual offenses. In an ongoing renovation and new construction project, Skogome Prison will be expanded to a total of approximately 800 client places, which means more employees and larger, more modern facilities for our operations and production. Today, we have four different production halls for industry, assembly and packaging, as well as laundry.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a production leader, you will have direct contact with our clients in the prison's work operations. It is a very varied job where you meet our clients in a production environment and motivate them in their work. You also support production leaders and other staff, conduct attendance checks, and ensure that our clients are in the right place at the right time. In daily contact with the inmates, your work contributes to the clients' learning but also to the clients reflecting on their situation.

We are looking for both summer substitutes (with the possibility to work as hourly substitutes during spring and autumn) and hourly substitutes for our resource pool (there is also the possibility to work during the summer). In your application, you will indicate what you are mainly interested in. After the introduction, you as a production leader will be responsible for the daily operations. You plan, allocate work to clients, and ensure that our deliveries are made on time. You also participate in the production work yourself. Together with other colleagues, you are operationally involved and responsible for production planning. Working hours are daytime Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:00.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and pedagogically inclined. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have the ability to make good assessments and see what needs to be prioritized. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages based on the recipient's conditions. You should also have good physical health that enables you to act if the situation requires it.

To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share Kriminalvården's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally with your approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary school qualifications in the form of a final certificate or high school diploma
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in industry or production
• Experience in security work deemed relevant by Kriminalvården for the position
• Experience in Kriminalvården's work operations
• Relevant language skills
• Driving license (B)
• Forklift license
