Rescue Platoon at Skaraborg Air Wing is Seeking Rescue Personnel for Permanent Employment.
The Rescue Platoon is part of the Protection Airfield Working Company, which is responsible for the operation of the airport. The platoon mainly consists of civilian personnel with military leaders.
Main Responsibilities
- Operational rescue services and accident prevention activities for military aviation at Såtenäs Airport.
- Training and exercise activities, maintaining competence and physical status, as well as maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications
- Swedish citizenship.
- Driving license B
- Driving license for heavy truck (C) or Military driver's license for heavy truck
- Approved high school diploma
- Good physical and mental ability.
- Good vision (with correction), color vision, and hearing.
- Swim proficient.
Meritorious
- Military driver's license with additional training for rescue vehicles types 1, 2, and 3.
- Completed military service or GMU or GU.
- Completed position training JU901, Rescue Soldier Aviation, with a passing result.
- Experience in fire and rescue operations, preferably from airport rescue services.
- First aid training.
- Coastal skipper's license or military vessel certification N9.

Other Information
- Employment type: Civil permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period.
- Employment rate: Full-time. Mainly scheduled work and on-call duty, including evenings and weekends.
- Work location: Såtenäs.
- Start date: upon agreement.
- Salary: Individual salary setting. Additional pay for inconvenient working hours, on-call duty, and standby.
As a civilian employee in the Rescue Platoon, you are part of the unit's war organization and will be trained and exercised for the unit's war tasks.
The position may involve business trips.
Health and physical training are a natural part of everyday life.
Job-related tests, treadmill test with a load of 200 W for at least six minutes, and medical examination will be conducted as needed during the recruitment process.
Interviews and selection tests will be conducted continuously.
Before any employment, a security clearance and background check will be conducted.
