As a security guard at Avarn Security, you have a vital societal mission to protect and monitor security objects according to the Protection Act.

The task of a security guard is to monitor security objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist acts, and armed robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, dismiss, and detain individuals present at a security object. Security objects are activities that are important for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of security objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Duration: On-call employment

Start date: By agreement

Job responsibilities: Among other things, staffing entrance receptions, escorting, ensuring that no unauthorized persons have access to security objects. With some patrolling. More information will be provided during the interview. This applies to both armed and unarmed services.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone who has personal maturity and feels secure in the role of a security guard. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should possess a high level of security awareness and social competence. We place great emphasis on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. To work at certain objects, a security screening, in-depth control, and a security interview will be conducted.

Requirements for applicants:

• At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma (minimum grade in Swedish 1)
• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
• Driver's license B
• Civil security guard training (or military security guard training, completed from 2016 or later)

You must also be free of criminal records, drug-free, have a stable economy, and good health and fitness to be employed at Avarn Security.

Desirable qualifications:

• Guard training (VU1 + VU2)
• OC-Spray training
• HAS training
• Orderly guard training

** If you have completed security guard training during military basic training, it is valid for civilian use as well. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the training certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have security guard training through the armed forces without military basic training, you need to complete a shortened security guard training to work as a civil security guard.
