Senior Social Worker

Do you want to lead, inspire, and make a real difference for children, youth, and their families in an organization that focuses on quality and development? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

Who are we?

At the Social Office in Norrköping, we always put the individual's needs at the center – with the best interests of the child as our top priority. Our goal is to create long-term and positive changes through solutions close to the people we serve. Quality and legal certainty are the foundation of our work, and we want all residents to feel secure and have access to high-quality social services.

We are now looking for a Senior Social Worker who is passionate about children's and youth's rights and who wants to help shape an organization where quality, collaboration, and engagement are at the center. We offer you, among other things, trust time, individual salary setting, external supervision, engaged colleagues, and a work climate with a strong team spirit – and much more. With us, we help each other, learn from one another, and take shared responsibility for developing the organization.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Social Worker, you are part of the unit's management structure. You work closely with the unit manager and have a central role in leading and ensuring the quality of the operations towards set goals. You guide social workers in their investigative work, assessments, and choice of interventions. You are responsible for ensuring quality and developing work methods as well as introducing and supervising new employees.

The work also involves following up on the operations based on the unit's activity plan and keeping yourself updated on applicable legislation, regulations, and general advice. You represent the unit in legal contexts and collaborate with both internal and external actors regarding children, youth, and their families.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in authority work concerning children and youth under the Social Services Act. Documented experience in a leadership role is seen as a positive but is not a requirement.

As a person, you have the ability to create engagement and participation within a work group. You have a coaching approach that means you strive for employees to become independent in their professional practice.

In the role of Senior Social Worker, it is important that you have a talent for expressing yourself in speech and writing, and that you are flexible and pedagogical in your way of expressing yourself so that you can convey your knowledge to others.

You act professionally and drive the issues that you see are important for the organization. Since the role involves leadership, it is a prerequisite that you have a good ability to independently and flexibly prioritize and carry out the work.

This ability also allows you to support employees in maintaining good structure in their work. You are goal-oriented and see goals as a driving factor in daily work, as well as having the ability to follow up and evaluate. Since you collaborate with both employees, clients, and external and internal partners, it is of great importance that you are a person who focuses on building good relationships. You maintain calm and clarity in demanding situations and take responsibility for the decisions that the role requires.

A driving license (B) is a requirement for our operations.

An extract from the criminal record will be requested before employment can take place.

Welcome with your application!
