The National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, across the country. With us at SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS youth home Folåsa receives school-age girls with psychosocial issues as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse.
Job Description
Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment pedagogue at SiS Folåsa.
The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment pedagogue, you will help ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play an important role in providing stability and security for our youth and clients. You are responsible for the foundation of daily life, including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You will contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good treatment relationships and help ensure that our youth and clients receive the security and safety they need to break old habits. Together with your team of engaged colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
We are looking for individuals who can work days, evenings, and weekends, as well as those who can work only awake nights.
As a summer temporary worker at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help individuals in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's values, being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are self-assured and easily build relationships with youth as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You are collaborative and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree or ongoing education from at least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we assess as equivalent. Exceptions to the education requirement can be made, but only if there are special reasons*. A special reason may be, for example, that you have extensive professional experience or other relevant competencies.
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work within psychiatry or LSS care
- Experience from client-facing positions in the Prison and Probation Service, e.g., as a correctional officer
- Education in care and support
- Experience working with children and youth with NPF diagnoses and IF.

Employment:
The position is a fixed-term employment during the summer of 2026 (weeks 26-33), but if desired, there are good opportunities to start with us earlier in the spring as a substitute.
