Who are we?

In close collaboration between schools and social services, we work together to enhance students' safety, participation, and opportunities to succeed in their education. Through a school social team with interdisciplinary competence, we can offer early, coordinated, and relationship-building interventions that support both students and their families. We are now looking for engaged social workers for our school social teams, interdisciplinary teams that work closely with school staff, student health, and social services to provide early support to children and youth.

The school social team works preventively and relationship-building in schools to counteract absenteeism, strengthen students' school connection, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. The mission involves working with individual students as well as development initiatives at the group and school level.

The focus is on promoting safety and participation among students, as well as increasing school attendance through interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Education Office is now hiring staff for school social teams, one for each of our five primary school areas and one for the high school's introductory program. We are looking for social workers for primary school area 3 (Northern City) and area 5 (Western City) as well as for high school. As a social worker in the school social team in the area, you will be linked to one or a couple of individual schools, which will be your workplace.

Your responsibilities

As a social worker in the school social team, you will work present in the school environment, in classrooms, and during breaks to create safety and study peace.

Within primary school, you will be part of the school's student health team and contribute to preventive, investigative, and remedial work.

You will work proactively and relationship-building with students at risk of absenteeism or social isolation.

To succeed in the role, it is important that you have close collaboration with the social services representative. You will carry out targeted interventions to increase students' motivation and participation in schoolwork.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree from the social work program or a degree in behavioral science.

You have experience working in primary or secondary schools, as well as experience with method support such as Repulse, motivational interviewing, or similar. You also have experience and enjoy driving processes and taking initiative in ongoing development work.

As a person, you are secure, attentive, and relationship-building. You have the ability to work both independently and in teams, and you are used to collaborating with several actors around children and youth.

To be considered for the position, you must have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
