About Us

Omsorgsgruppen is a small private company that has been around since 1996. We have offices in Norrköping and Linköping and operate throughout Östergötland. Omsorgsgruppen's core values Joy-Respect-Care-Wholeness permeate the entire organization and are present in our daily work with our clients. We strongly believe in the equal value of all people, and you who are applying here need to share that perspective.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced support assistant for one of our group homes in Linköping. The employment will initially be a probationary period of 6 months starting on May 10, but the goal is to be able to offer a permanent position at a later stage. The working percentage is estimated to be around 80%. You need to have a nursing assistant education or other training that the employer assesses as equivalent. Experience working with the target group is a requirement. This presupposes knowledge of and/or experience with methods and approaches within clear pedagogics, low-arousal responses, challenging behavior, motivational interviewing, and/or sign language support.

About the Role

You will work closely with clients and together with your colleagues perform support measures and planned activities based on our residents' needs and life situations. This includes, among other things:

  • Supporting and motivating residents in their daily lives. This may include assistance with cleaning, laundry, cooking, and personal hygiene.
  • Booking and accompanying visits to e.g. healthcare, rehabilitation, and dental care.
  • Performing tasks delegated by licensed personnel, e.g. administering medication.
  • Assisting in managing finances and maintaining good contact with any guardians/administrators.
  • Being a support in social contacts with e.g. relatives and friends.
  • Supporting and motivating residents to have an active and meaningful leisure time.

Your work will be based on the individual needs of the residents and aims to:

  • Promote independence and participation.
  • Ensure that interventions are carried out with respect for the client's integrity and self-determination.

As part of our team, you will contribute to development work by:

  • Working according to set goals, methods, and quality requirements. Following up, evaluating, and possibly revising different working methods and approaches together with the unit's support pedagogues, other staff, and the operations manager.
  • Holding one or more representative roles such as e.g. technology representative, environmental representative, or hygiene representative.
  • Collaborating with external actors, such as e.g. LSS administrators in the municipality, responsible nurses, rehabilitation staff, etc.

We operate 24/7 throughout the year, which means that working hours are scheduled during the day and evening as well as on weekends. Sleeping on-call duty is included in the position.

Interested in the Position?

Send your CV and personal letter to [email protected]. In the recruitment process, great focus will be placed on experience, so be sure to describe your previous work experiences with the target group. Mark your application with "Support Assistant 80%".

Selection is ongoing, so do not hesitate to send in your application!
