The position is located within the Social Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping municipality. The Social Administration is responsible for authority exercise, ordering services, and self-management in the areas of individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. Your Responsibilities

Do you want to contribute to meaningful days and support others towards an independent life? Then you might be the one we are looking for at Ullstämmavägen group home.

As a support assistant, you work closely with the users and assist in everything related to daily life – personal care, leisure activities, health, relationships, and participation. You help create structure, security, and comfort, and contribute to each individual having the opportunity to develop their own abilities.

The role also includes practical tasks that may occur in a home, as well as habilitation, medication management, and documentation. We work with low-arousal responses, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and TSS (Signs as Support).

As a new employee, you will receive a secure introduction and training in Educational Methods. We invest in development, and you will be part of a team that constantly strives to improve.

Your Workplace

Ullstämmavägen group home is located in a large and beautiful house in the Ullstämma district. Here, there is a spacious outdoor area and proximity to walking paths.

With us, five individuals with intellectual and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities reside. Four of them are younger and active, while one resident is a bit older and has more focus on care. On weekends and evenings, there is often full activity where we bowl, walk, watch movies, or do other activities together.

The work group consists of a support pedagogue and ten support assistants/caregivers who support each other in daily life and have a close collaboration.

This position is scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend, with an emphasis on more evenings. The position is a permanent employment at 100%.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who has completed the nursing and care program, the child and leisure program, or has other education deemed equivalent. You have experience working in care, support, and assistance, and it is a requirement that you have previously worked with delegated health care tasks.

It is an advantage if you have worked with individuals with neuropsychiatric and/or intellectual disabilities as well as with low-arousal responses. Knowledge of AAC, TSS, and educational methods is also desirable.

You communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the work involves a lot of contact and documentation.

As a person, you are self-driven, responsible, and secure in yourself. You collaborate well with others and adapt your communication according to the situation and individual. You also have a good empathetic ability and see the person behind every behavior.
