We are now looking for summer substitutes for Äppelgården in Kimstad while our regular staff is on vacation. With us, you will have a meaningful and developing job where you contribute to safe, stable, and content-rich days for our girls aged 15–19 years.

About the summer substitute position

As a summer substitute, you will work day/evening/night in our accommodation for young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or social behavioral issues. You will become an important part of the team and contribute to the daily functioning (all hours of the day) – with structure, clarity, and a safe approach.

The work involves creating stability and continuity during the summer, a period that can be particularly sensitive when routines change.

Your main responsibilities

• Support the youth in daily routines, activities, and care situations.
• Create safe relationships and work in a low-arousal manner during challenging behaviors.
• Provide structure and clarity based on an NPF-adapted approach.
• Plan and implement summer activities, daily structure, and motivational support.
• Document according to applicable guidelines and collaborate with colleagues and internal functions.

We are looking for someone who

• Is secure, stable, and relationship-building.
• Has experience working with youth, preferably in HVB or similar settings.
• Has relevant education (ongoing or completed) in, for example, treatment pedagogy, social pedagogy, behavioral science, social work, or support pedagogy – or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Has a B driver's license and driving experience.
• Can work both independently and in a team.
• Is flexible and responsible during the summer period.

Meritorious

• Experience with NPF and low-arousal approaches.
• Experience working with young people with extensive needs.
• Experience with animal-assisted interventions, such as horse-assisted activities.

About the employment

• Temporary summer substitute position (according to agreement).
• Day, evening, and night shifts according to schedule.
• Introduction will be provided before starting.
