We are now looking for engaged and reliable personal assistants for a 13-year-old boy with cerebral palsy and epilepsy who lives with his father and two brothers in Linköping.

He communicates with a few words in his own way. As you get to know him, communication becomes clearer and easier. He is a cheerful and warm boy who loves being outdoors and joining his brothers for football. A very lovely young person to work with.

About the Assignment

As a personal assistant, you will provide close support in the boy's daily life. He needs help with all personal care, including hygiene and dressing. During meals, he can partially bring food to his mouth himself, but usually needs help with getting the food served and distributed.

He can drive his wheelchair short distances by himself indoors and to some extent outdoors. He can also move by scooting on the floor. Assistance therefore also includes help with transfers, for example between bed, wheelchair, and floor. These transfers are currently done manually.

Working Hours

• Weekdays: 14:00–21:00
• Weekends: 08:00–21:00

The schedule is planned by agreement. Two to three shifts per week, with some flexibility.

We are looking for someone who

• Is reliable, calm, and responsible
• Has patience and enjoys working closely with children
• Can work in a structured yet flexible manner
• Has a good understanding of the Swedish language

Experience in personal assistance, cerebral palsy, or epilepsy is an advantage but not a requirement. Personal suitability is the most important.
