JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a probation officer, you will be responsible for conditionally released clients and clients sentenced to probation who are under supervision. The probation service is also responsible for intensive supervision with electronic monitoring, known as an ankle monitor, and community service. The work within the probation service largely consists of investigative work, conducting risk and needs assessments, and establishing plans for implementation.

In your role as a summer substitute with us, you will carry out several tasks that regular staff perform. This may include writing reports and other documentation, meeting clients for conversations, and collaborating with other stakeholders.

The substitute position begins with an introduction tailored for you and the tasks you will perform. Throughout your employment, you will also have access to supervisors and colleagues for support and guidance in your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma with final grades.
• Academic studies, for example, programs with a focus on behavioral, social sciences, or law, social work program, or another orientation that the employer deems equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• Driver's license (B).

It is advantageous if you have:

• Academic degree (at least bachelor's level), for example, behavioral scientist, lawyer, social worker, or in social sciences, alternatively another academic education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• Current and well-rated work experience in corrections, social care, psychiatry, or health and social care work.
• Current experience of working with public authority enforcement.
